Blog Blurb

Hello all! My name is Kennedy Abramson and I am eighteen years young. I am a freshman at UCSB and I am excited about my first year here but terrified at the same time. I grew up in Hollister, California but moved to a small town called Copperopolis, in northern California, when I was ten. The only thing I liked about living in my small town was that I lived on a lake. After college I hope to live in a big city, preferably Boston. I have three older brothers who keep my family life entertaining. I also have a cat that I love an unhealthy amount, his name is Milo. I’ll insert a picture of us below from the day I left to move to UCSB. If you look closely you can tell I was crying, don’t judge me please.

Some interesting things about me include the fact that I can knit and am currently knitting my first sweater, I love The Beach Boys and The Beatles, and I can wake surf but the one time I tried to surf on the ocean I ran over a small boy. My best friend from high school, Arica, goes to Santa Barbara City College but lives in Isla Vista so that was a really awesome part of coming to this school. I have had migraines all my life and therefore have never been able to do any sports but I did dance class and gymnastics growing up. I went out of the United States for the first time this summer and I visited Italy, France, and Spain. Going to Europe sparked a love for traveling in me and now traveling is the only thing I ever want to spend my money on. I am also currently learning German with Rosetta Stone partly because my grandma is from Germany and I want to impress her with my knowledge and partly because I think I might want to study abroad in Munich.

That’s about all I can think of to tell you all but good luck in this class fellow classmates!
